Today in an article for The New York Daily News.com by Amanda Sidman, Hogan is said to have taken a Xanax/rum cocktail and while intoxicated with his finger on the trigger of a gun, was brought back to reality by a surprise phone call from Laila Ali. At the time she worked with Hogan on the new “Gladiators” television show, and had noticed that he seemed distracted at work earlier in the day. Fortunately for Hogan and his fans, she was able to prevent him from his suicide attempt.
